Mitsubishi leaving North America



Mitsubishi is ended production in the U.S. to refocus on the developing Asian market. Slow North American Sales have prompted the company to shut down their Illinois plant which opened in 1988. The company is seeing growth in developing Asian countries and has opened new factories in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand.  The company stopped Australian production in 2008 and sold off a facility in the Europe in 2012.
