San Pedro Mártir Hill Climb

The organizers of the Rally Historico Transpeninsular have launched a new event for 2017, the San Pedro Mártir Hill Climb, as a way for racers to experiance the thrill of road racing in Mexico without the ten day commitment that the Rally Historico requires.

The event is hosted 155 Miles south of the border, just off the Transpeninsular highway, the small town of San Telmo is the gateway into the San Pedro Mártir Mountain Range where the Mexican government built a two lane mountain road that climbs from sea level to 9000 feet in a span of 100 kilómeters, of which the last 40km, takes you from 3000ft to the top. The route is technical with many tight turns degree turns as it takes you through the rugged beauty of San Pedro Mártir National Park.

The two day event has six automotive classes based on displacement and naturally aspirated or forced induction. There are six motorcycle classes including a sidecar and senior class. After two days of racing an awards dinner will be held.
