eBay Watch: 1964 Mustang Fastback

by Michael Satterfield

eBay has opened new doors for car scammers, today's example is a manufactured 1964 (not even a 64 1/2) Mustang Fastback, that the owner is claiming is a pre-production Mustang Fastback. It looks like someone has done some stamping to make this possible. The tag reads 10 29 D2, which means October 29 in District 2, which means there is no way it was built in 1964. Plus the fact that it is a T code meaning a 200ci I6, the 64 1/2 Mustang's were U codes that had 170ci I6's.

If you have $12K to burn you can buy this one here, but you may have an issue getting a title for a car that never existed.
