An interesting Porsche 356 was just listed on eBay that the seller claims is the car shown at the 1963 NY Auto Show. It's nice to see a classic 356 that is not made of plastic!

What we have for sale this Tuesday morning is a black on black 1963 Porsche 356B which was reputably the 1963 New York Auto Show Porsche display car. My father purchased this car from the owner in 1982-ish for its original Rudge wheel assemblies, which he removed and sold to another Porsche enthusiast. He then sold the car with incomplete 356A-brake assemblies to another enthusiast in 1983, and the car sat in this guy's garage until late 2009 when I purchased it, another 356B and two MGA's from him. This car will need floors, longs, closing panels,..the works as it has a lot of rust. Assume the engine is a core but I believe the car is totally numbers-matching as no body parts or mechanicals (save the Rudge assemblies) have been removed since 1982. The tires and wheels are good; I added those three years ago to get it out of the barn that had collapsed on it. The brakes drag so it'll be tough to move by pushing but the tires do hold air. All the parts look to be there, and the car is located in Deering, NH.
