Style Icon: Carroll Shelby's Overalls

Carroll Shelby at the Cuban Grand Prix

Carroll Shelby is a legend, everyone knows about the cars, his racing, even his famous Stetson hats. But I wanted to take a moment and put together some photos of Carroll in his Bib Overalls, as you can see, he not only wore them while working on the farm but behind the wheel. In thinking about it I believe it was just another way for him to assert his Texan persona in the world of racing. While most drivers were dressed in their custom tailored racing suits by Suixtil or Dunlop, Carroll wore denim overalls and a depending on the weather a short sleeve shirt. While he piloted cars for Ferrari, Maserati, and Aston Martin.
