Lamborghini Accademia

The 2017 Lamborghini Accademia season starts with a richer program than ever. Automobili Lamborghini’s driving school, managed by its motorsport division Squadra Corse, has created its annual series of courses for all those who are passionate about safe and sporty driving. Programs include the ice environment of the Winter Accademia in Livigno, which marks the debut of the new Aventador S among the fleet of vehicles available to participants. On asphalt, courses take place at the most famous international circuits, including Spa-Francorchamps, Mugello, and Yas Marina where the Lamborghini Accademia will be hosted for the first time. Last but not least, the new “Collaudatore Lamborghini” course in Nardó is offered to those who want to refine their driving abilities in a test driver’s environment.

On the snow of Livigno with Aventador S

Open to all enthusiasts rather than just Lamborghini customers, the Accademia provides the know-how of its drivers/instructors from Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s motorsport programs alongside its fleet of super sports cars for the Winter Accademia, which kicks off the season from 9 to 21 February 2017. Featuring the new Lamborghini Aventador S, the activities on snow and ice allow participants to try out all the innovative technologies introduced on the new V12 supercar, from the increased engine output of 740 hp to the new four-wheel steering system, together with the new EGO mode for customizing the car’s set-up to the driver’s preferences.  In addition, the “12 Ore di Livigno” (“12 Hours of Livigno”) Winter Accademia gives participants an even more extraordinary experience, driving at night on the well-lit track.

On the track at Spa-Francorchamps and Mugello

March 2017 sees the start of Lamborghini Accademia track programs with the season inauguration at Australia’s Phillip Island racing circuit; here too welcoming the new Aventador S into its ranks.
In April the Accademia heads to Spa-Francorchamps, the famous Belgian Formula One circuit, which annually hosts the single-brand Lamborghini Super Trofeo series and the Total 24 Hours for GT3 cars. Along the Ardennes forest track of over seven kilometers, participants alternate at the wheel of Lamborghini Huracán and Aventador S models, experiencing the thrill of tackling the circuit’s most famous curves, from Eau Rouge/Radillon to Les Combes and Blanchimont.

Lamborghini Accademia’s 2017 calendar of events continues in July at the Mugello Circuit in Tuscany, another new venue for the season. This course combines driving and a true Italian experience:  participants’ driving skills are tested and tuned at the wheel of Huracán and Aventador S on one of the world’s most exciting tracks, with its elevation changes and fast, technical turns. Participants from around the world also experience true Italy, through the design, architecture, food and wine of Cantine Antinori.

Pilota training program in Las Vegas: the first step towards competition

In September and October 2017 Lamborghini Accademia heads to China on the Shanghai race track, and then to the United States with programs at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas and the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Nevada. For the third year in a row, the Las Vegas track will also be the venue for the Pilota Lamborghini training program.

This is Lamborghini Accademia’s most advanced course, designed for those interested in venturing into the world of competition.  At the wheel of Huracán Super Trofeo racing cars, participants live a real weekend’s racing experience under the supervision of Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s professional racing drivers.

The year closes in December in Abu Dhabi, with the Accademia based at the extraordinary F1 circuit of Yas Marina for the first time. The United Arab Emirates track also hosts the first race of the new Middle East Super Trofeo in February.

In Imola to live the Lamborghini Esperienza

As in previous years the Autodrome of Imola will be the venue for the Lamborghini Esperienza. Eight dates are scheduled in April, September and October, dedicated to those venturing into the world of Lamborghini for the first time. The program starts at the factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese to visit the renovated museum, production lines and the other departments, then participants head to the track in Imola to discover all the dynamic features of Lamborghini super sports cars.
