The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering

The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, once again attracted some of the most exclusive vehicles in the world to the fairways of Quail Lodge & Golf Club. Over 200 classic cars, motorcycles, and exotics were on display including an all-new tribute to the electric car at the center of which was the 2-million-dollar Lotus Evija electric hypercar.

Also celebrated was the 100th Anniversary of Bentley with vehicles from the marque's history including a 1929 Le Mans, a 1926 Speed Six, a 1958 S1 Continental Coupe by Park Ward, and a 2018 Supersports. Across the lawn, another British milestone showcased at the event was the 25th Anniversary of the McLaren F1 with the 1997 F1 GTR Longtail chassis number 27R on display. 27R is one of only ten GTR Longtails ever made and the first race winner.

Mark Boen's 1966 Cheetah is considered the most original Cheetah in existence and was the last of the original 12 cars ever produced. The Cheetah was designed to be Bill Thomas and Chevrolet's answer to the Shelby Cobra, but Chevrolet pulled its support after just 12 cars were built out of the planned 100.

Quail is always about more than just the cars, it is an event that attracts the whos-who of the automotive world, including the largest collectors and automotive personalities like Chasing Classic Cars' Wayne Carini, to YouTubers like Daymon Fryer of Daily Driven Exotics, who decided to show up dressed in an homage to Dumb and Dumber

In addition to the amazing collection of cars and personalities, The Quail is known for its incredible culinary pavilions which feature fine wines and international cuisines. Guests also had the opportunity to sit in on fireside chats with industry leaders and influencers and take in the Bonhams Quail Lodge Auction.
Over its 17 years of celebrations, The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering has become one of the most prestigious automotive events in the world with a truly unique atmosphere. All three of our 2019 featured classes will complement this atmosphere perfectly, and we are confident they will help to make the 2019 roster one of our most impressive to date.
