“We’ve delivered many of our limited edition 1965 Shelby G.T.350 ‘Competition Model’ Mustangs,” said Jim Marietta, CEO of OVC. “Collectors and enthusiasts around the world have embraced these sports cars since we first began building them in 2016. Not only are they genuine Shelby OVC Mustangs, but they’re assembled by members of the original Shelby American team who developed, built, and raced the first Shelby G.T.350, which became known as the ‘Flying Mustang.’ Their rarity is unlike any other continuation car on the market, and we look forward to finishing out our last remaining builds.”

The Original Venice Crew (OVC) is comprised of former Shelby American employees (1962 to 1965) Ted Sutton, Jim Marietta, and other Shelby team members.  Each of the 36 OVC cars incorporates experimental enhancements designed by Shelby American designer Peter Brock. Licensed by Shelby American, each starts with the same 1965 Mustang, K-Code, equipped with a 289 c.i.d. engine and Borg Warner 4-speed that was the basis for the Shelby GT350 in 1965.

“My car was delivered earlier this year in January, and I’ve been incredibly happy with the fit and finish of the car,” said Steve Stephens, an OVC Mustang client. “Outside of being a Ford Mustang and Shelby enthusiast, I was drawn to the idea that no other collectible car today is built by the technicians and engineers who built the original vehicles. The provenance of these OVC Mustangs is unlike anything you can find, and their performance is a reminder of the golden era of racing when legends like Ken Miles and Jerry Titus ruled the racetracks.”
