Maserati at St. Moritz

The air was thick with the smell of gasoline and the sound of roaring engines as Maserati descended upon the I.C.E. (International Concours of Elegance) at St. Moritz, a gathering of the most exclusive vintage cars on the planet. This was a weekend for the true aficionados of society's upper echelons, a place where elegance and style reigned supreme.

Maserati, no stranger to the world of luxury, came ready to display its finest creations from the past and future. The Italian brand's most unique specimens from track and street, including the first 10% electric model in the storied marque's history. The sight of the Maseratis on the frozen lake was nothing short of awe-inspiring, stealing the show and the hearts of those in attendance. 

One standout was the Maserati 420M/58 Eldorado, a champion of the Open Wheels category of single-seaters raced between the '50s and '70s. Rarely seen in public, this beauty harkened back to the glory days of racing when every race was a parade that could take your breath away. And it wasn't the only one, as the elegant 3500 GT Touring and the Mistral, pioneers of the Trident cars that have been embraced by the wind, also commanded respect and admiration.

As fate would have it, Klaus Busse, Head of Design at Maserati and creative author of the Trident’s modern creations, was among the esteemed members of the jury. The Grecale SUV made an appearance in its one-of-a-kind “Mission from Mars” edition, while the unmistakable MC20 Cielo spyder wowed the crowds in its Fuoriserie version. And let's not forget the latest arrival, the new GranTurismo, in its electrifying Trofeo version and its 100% electric variant, the GranTurismo Folgore, the first of its kind in Maserati's illustrious history.

But it wasn't just a static display. An itinerary on the frozen lake was created ad hoc for collectors to showcase their prized possessions. And amid the glamorous and sparkling atmosphere – a perfect mix of history and modernity – the I.C.E. St. Moritz once again proved to be a magical and extraordinary event.
