We recently had the chance to take the Honda Pilot on a short road trip.  If you are looking for a reliable and spacious SUV to shuttle the kids to school, haul cargo for weekend adventures, and make memories on unforgettable road trips, the 2023 Honda Pilot should be on your list. Here are five things we absolutely loved about it:

Five Things You Will Love About the Honda Pilot

Well-Packaged Interior: The moment we stepped into the Honda Pilot, we were greeted by a well-designed and comfortable interior. The spacious cabin offered plenty of room for passengers and cargo alike. The second-row seats could be easily tilted forward with the push of a button, granting convenient access to the third-row bench. Even adults found the rearmost seat surprisingly roomy, provided the second row wasn't pushed all the way back.

Amazing Ride: As we set out on our road trip, everyone commented on the Honda Pilot's smooth ride. Kids and adults alike could sleep in the backseat as the suspension absorbed bumps and potholes with ease, leaving the cabin undisturbed. It was a comfortable and smooth journey, making long-distance travel a breeze.

Excellent Fuel Economy: The Honda Pilot surprised us all with its fuel efficiency. It boasted better fuel economy than most SUVs in this catagory. With an impressive 27 mpg on the highway, it was perfect for those who wanted to save a few extra dollars at the pump during their road trip adventures.

Easy Access and Cargo Space: Loading up the SUV for the road trip was a breeze. With a simple push-button mechanism, the second-row seats scooted and tilted forward, granting quick access to the spacious cargo area. We were able to get everyone's stuff behind the third row, and there is a large storage bay under the floor for small items.

Advanced Technology: Inside the Honda Pilot Elite, we found an array of advanced technology features. The 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system had wireless phone mirroring, and the Elite model even featured a head-up display and a screen-based instrument cluster. These tech-savvy features added a touch of luxury to any road trip.

The best part about the Pilot is the different personalities each trim level offers, the Honda Pilot TrailSport is beefed up for off-road adventures, while the Pilot Elite proved to be the perfect companion for everyday life, family trips, and daily commuting. It may not have the rugged looks of an off-roader, but it has everything you could ask for in an SUV – space, comfort, efficiency, and advanced technology so unless you are planning to do a lot of overland adventures, maybe opt for the Elite trim level.
