Retro Style Made in the USA

One of the reasons I started Morgan's & Phillip's Speed Shop was that I was not happy with the quality of the shirts on the market. Not just in material but the content of the designs. So whenever I sit down to design a new series of shirts I am always drawing on my travels, automotive history, and the unique people that make the automotive hobby so interesting. I like the fact that each shirt has a story behind it, a reason, even it if lost on the end user who just thinks the graphic is cool.

Take for example this Tamagawa Speedway shirt which is based on the first organized automotive race track in Japan. Each part of the design is part of the story, from the location, to the dates and type of cars. Even though we make these tees in the USA we ship a lot of them to Japan.

Or this officially licensed Shelby tee shirt below, this image was used as an advertisement for Shelby American back in the 1960's and ran in Playboy Magazine.
This shirt was based on a old business card that street racers would pass out in the 1970s to invite other car guys and girls up to Mulholland for some late night illegal street racing.

This shirt was inspired by the Austin Healey Roadster I built for a Mexican road rally.
Back in the golden years of racing endurance races were run all over the county and Gulf Oil would be there with trackside support and service.
